[UPDT 08/09/09] DredSFTP v0.2 - SFTP Plugin based on WinSCP

Post by *Dredger97 »

=======================================================================================
DredSFTP v0.2:
=======================================================================================

Hello,
I have just developed a filesystem plugin which allows to use Total Commander as frontend tool for WinSCP command line.
So this allows you to access to SFTP, SCP and FTP servers.

Specifically, once installed, the plugin allows you to manage the connections with the WinSCP window.

It is advisable to first establish the connection with WinSCP for being sure SSH keys are saved in cache.

Then you can open this connection directly in Total Commander.

Link ->: DredSFTP-v0.2.zip

Warning, actually, reinstallation will replace your WinSCP.ini file so you will loose your connections.
You can backup it an restore after installation to keep your connections.

New features in v0.2:
=====================
  • Fixes a few bugs with accentuated file names.
  • Warn before overwriting.
Notes:
========
1) This is a beta version of its kind "works well with me but has not been tested elsewhere" ==> thank you for the constructive comments to improve it ...

2) To make this work, you need WinSCP to be configured in English and manages its config in .ini file
This should automatically configure itself during installation, but as noted above, this is a beta version ...

If you already have WinSCP and you want it in French or another, this is not a problem since I use a copy of WinSCP that I put in the installation directory of the plugin, it does not conflict with yours.

This is an English forum. This needs to be moved to the correct forum.

You can always try to put a link into signature. It worked in the past :)

Clo,

We posted at the same time. I have enough trouble reading English. ;)

2Dredger97,

This plugin doesn't warn you when it is copying over a file on upload. Any idea how to fix it, sir? ;)

You can put this link in your bookmarks and use it on the page you want translated:

Code: Select all

javascript:self.location.href=%22http://translate.google.com/translate?u=%22+self.location.href+%22%26langpair=fr%7Cen%22
Tested in FireFox, SeaMonkey, Opera, Google Chrome, Apple Safari and Internet Explorer. Difficult to set up in Explorer and Safari.

You can replace fr with something else to translate from other languages (de=German, da=Danish, zh-Cn=Chinese etc.)

If you prefer to use Babelfish in stead og Google Translate you can use:

Code: Select all

javascript:self.location.href=%22http://babelfish.yahoo.com/translate_url?trurl=%22+self.location.href+%22%26lp=fr_en%22

Thanks for the info. I set up 4 bookmarks in Opera for translating pages from different languages. I didn't realize it was so easy to do. I did Google Translate. Is Babelfish better?

In my experience Google is the best of the two.

2Dredger97,

Now I'm getting a file uploaded error when I try to copy over a file on the server. The file is not copied over the old one.
