Now, that would be so cool :) I am struggling to find a proper file manager and even a basic version of TC would be a monstrous improvement.

Sorry, there are currently no plans to port TC Pocket to other platforms. Why? Lack of time. :(

But it wold be nice to access the Filesystem of Android (not only the SD-Card) from Windows-TC like with the Plugins WinCE for Windows Mobile or Serial for PalmOS.

You can try:

There might be no way TC to ignore Android

I guess that TC not being installable on Android systems is my main reason not to buy one, even though it seems to be quite attractive to me.

If you see the speed of Android's market acceptance, I think TC cannot surpass it or otherwise may become a niche software. Isn't there anybody who could help Christian Ghisler to port TC to Android ? [Google should be happy for such support, haha :lol: ]

I'm currently working on TC for Android. It's a nice platform, I even found a way to make plugins possible! I have already written one plugin for ftp and ftps (ftp over ssl).

@ghisler
That's great! :D I appreciate your work very much and would no longer use a computer or handheld without TC (actually using it since WinCommander times, guess 20 years ago?). I decided to switch to Android now. Hope, it will be more reliable and stable than WIN mobile.

It's indeed very stable, so far I had no crashes - I needed to reboot only about 2-3 times when debugging stopped working, but the system itself still worked just fine.

I agree, nice to hear that TC for android is on it's way. I've started with DOS and Norton commander (when I was 5) and I can't live without TC today..
When do you think it will be here??
Loking forward to it, all the other "TC look alike" apps aren't good enough for me :)

I cannot say, it depends on how long the beta test takes. :)

Glad to hear that TC will soon be running on my Android phone - any chance of helping with the beta testing? ;) :oops:
