First test: http://ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?t=2686
I made a second test under Win XP-Pro:
- I made an empty file named <large.bar>
I saved the bars files (1 bar with 32*32 icons), and the <wincmd.ini> file in a sub-dir
I commented the [Buttonsbar] section in wincmd ini. This through the network from another PC.
On the spot, I launched TC: none button-bar, of course.
I attempted to use my empty bar to configure 48*48 icons... Impossible, TC wants for use in first <default.bar> which its creates.
I configured that default bar using originals 48*48, that works.
I closed TC.
Through the network again, I patched all this caboodle to get finally:
- <large.bar> containing the 48*48 icons config., and the corresponding <large.br1> containing binary for it (bar #2)
- the original saved <default.bar> 32*32 icons config. and its <default.br1> binary (bar #1).
- I added the <large.bar> in the button-config., with icons to change bar #1><bar #2
- The same feature-lacuna than in the first test occurs: only one icon size can be displayed. In this case, the chosen size is <32>, hence the large icons are reduced to this size; the opposite if you set <48>.
¤ Its very annoying... That doesn't allow to have two different bars following the needs (for instance, changing the screen definition).
The one way I think is to use backup sub-dirs, and to change the bar-files and <wincmd.ini> by two batch files (set><reset). But it's limited: we could get either ONE bar as 32*32, or ONE bar as 48*48... Moreover, the problem of natives 48*48 under Win 9x is not solved...
¤ Please Mr. Ghisler, could you improve this?
Best regards,
Claude
