I cannot make the FileContent plugin: http://www.totalcmd.net/plugring/filecontent.html work to find text in UTF-8 encoded files, nor in Unicode Big Endian files.

If I search in these files http://madsenworld.dk/tcmd/filecontent.zip with these parameters:

Quote:

Plugin: filecontent
Property: Ansi
OP: contains
Value: æøå

I find the file ansi.txt - that is expected.

If I use:

Quote:

Property: UTF-16

I find the file unicode.txt - I also expected to find bigendian.txt.

If I use

Quote:

Property: UTF-8

I find no files - I expected to find utf-8.txt and utf-8nobom.txt.

If I use TC's built-in Unicode or UTF-8 parameters in the general tab I find the expected as described above
