Another file size

Post by *pekus »

Hello,

I'm tested trial TC v. 8.0., diplayed file size is 290938612. Previous version TC show file size as 290,938,612 (with commas).

Can I change in option?

I know Configuration | Option | Tabstops | Show directory count in footer, but find -> 290,938,612

Any ideas?

Best regards

Artur

Hello, Artur.

Just checked it out here. Launched T.C. 8.0 using an empty INI-file. I.e. T.C. used its default settings only.
Result:
All filesizes are displayed with the thousand separator. I.e. T.C. will display numbers like this: 2,000 or 15,000,000

As far as I know Total Commander will display numbers as you have configured under your regional settings. So, please, check the number format which you have configured in your Windows regional settings.

Kind regards,
Karl

Hi Karl!

Thanks for your response.

I had a version of 7.50 and file size as 888,888,888.
I installed 8.0 with old ini file (import with 7.50), and file size is now displayed 888888888.

I have delete all TC ini file, run TC -> 888888888 (no reboot)

I have uninstalled all ver. 8.0, install new and... 888888888 :(

Regional settings for Poland were not changed. I check regional settings and effect is the same -> 888888888.

Regards

Yes, TC uses the separator from regional settings. Somethings they get mangled - to fix that, do the following:
1. In control panel, regional and language settings, set a DIFFERENT separator than you want, e.g. a ":"
2. Click on "Apply"
3. Now change it to the separator you want
4. Click on "Apply" again
