Total Commander v9 - What's in the corner

Post by *pdavit »

We are closing to a year since TCv8 come out.

Big changes since we had a huge leap for a fully 64bit variant.

Too much effort and time has been spent for that transition and we can only applaud Christian for that.

The... "downside" was that this time and effort most likely pushed back new features.

I was wondering if we could have some info on what is planned ahead.

Thank you!

I think TC v9 is very far away in time...

Maybe 8.02 or 8.1 will be released soon, but... 9.0? I don't think so...

Cheers!
I Love Total Commander!

Yes, but I'm not interested in coming bug fixes (well, to some extent I always am :-P ), the thread is for the planned new features for the near (distant) future.

F4MiniMenu (Forum) - Open selected file(s) from TC in defined editor(s) - A (minimalistic) clone of F4Menu

I would like to see CTRL+BACKSPACE implemented in all text boxes.
ATM this produces only squares instead of deleting everything before the cursor to the next whitespace character.

dont forget from 8.0 on all versions will take double the time as chris have to work on 32 and 64bit versions in different compilers...

This is not true - I'm using TC's "compare files" function to copy new code between versions, and it's very fast. Normally no (or only small) changes are needed.
