Mr. Ghisler,

Thank you so much for the generous licensing policy.

If I were using another software, I would have already paid at least twice the amount I did for TC.

To be honest, I have always been a pirate  And as soon as I started earning money, the first software I bought was Total Commander.

I still think that I grabbed a great deal when I paid for TC (I know many of you licensed users reading agree to this). And my small way of saying "thank you" is to keep on recommending your software - to real life friends and across the internet.

It's a win-win situation. I feel good recommending it and the other party who does eventually buy a TC license, get their money's worth a hundred times over.

Thanks again. TC, both the software and the community, is truly one of a kind.

Cheers

Although I'm a long time user, I've haven't posted much because there is nothing to complain about.

Good job Mr. Ghisler & thanks.

Thank you so much for your continued work on Total Commander, what you do is very much appreciated.

Total Commander means so much to me, and I wouldn't know what to do without it. I've probably had it running for over a combined 7 years in the past 10 years.

Have a nice weekend. Hopefully you can relax with 8.50 out?
Of all the planets I've been to, this one is my favorite.

Frankly, I believe the next version needs to be 9.0, and for that I think we should have to pay for an upgrade. It shows respect.
That is, unless Mr Ghisler is independently wealthy. :)
Thx.

I wouldn't mind. And I've only been licensed for two years (I think)

I would like to express my gratitude for maintaining consistent layout throughout several major versions, without requiring that users learn the program after each upgrade.

I've been putting off upgrading from my trusted 6.53 for quite some time, in fear that I'll be missing essential functionality. Last week I started using 8.01 on my laptop and I like the enhancements and the XP-style facelift, and find that they have not displaced any important features.

The clickable directory path solves the problem I had with using too many "up one level" in a row, without the Explorer's directory tree.

I suppose it takes a certain strength and determination to maintain the product as it is, as such lack of change might be perceived as lack of life and innovation by some, and those users then aren't attracted.

j7n, I'd say take the chance now to go to 8.5, there are valuable additions as compared to 8.01.
Then you can take another time-out of several years - if you really want to :)
