customize startup-places on right and left panel

Post by *Samuel »

I would like to customize the startup-places displayed in the right and left panel of Total Commander for Android.

AFAIK currently there is only the possibility to open Total Commander for Android by a widget. This supports selecting one folder for the last active panel. It is not possible to select two folders (one for each panel).

I would appreciate a feature like this. Perhaps bookmarks could also adjust left and right panels (on wish). I decided to name the feature request "startup-places" instead of "startup-folders" because I would really appreciate if the home folder could be used for one panel.

In my personal case on start of TC I always want to open the folder "sdcard/my files/" on the active left panel and home (or the folder "external-sdcard") on the inactive right panel.

Am I missing existing functions?

Otherwise thanks for considering.

There is a solution with the latest beta:
1. Create an internal TC bookmark with two directories
2. Check the option to show the bookmark on the TC home screen
3. Long tap on the new icon on the TC home screen, and choose to create a link on the desktop
4. You can now delete the bookmark if you want.

Exactly what I was looking for. And this also works for the "home"-folder. Great.

Sorry for not looking for the latest beta first. I had beta 3 installed on the device.

Thank you very much.
Much blessings in advent.
