multi language search within files bug

Post by *ag43 »

i've been using tc for searching text within multiple text files. so far it worked flawlessly. i've switched phone and found a probelm - when the device's langauge is set to english, the search text function can't find hebrew texts. switching the app itself to hebrew doesn't fix it.

an option to change the search text encoding will be very helpful. thanks.

Total Commander uses the default system encoding for plain text files (non-Utf-8). If I change this to the encoding of the TC language, then people who use the English version (e.g. because there is no translation for their language, or they just prefer English) will also complain. :(

can you add on option to choose encoding? or at least tie the search encoding to the app language setting?

I will consider it. Any reason why you don't use Hebrew as the system language?
