TC shows this warning for remote videos. There is a checkbox to ignore the warning for that specific location, but not for all locations.

Yes, you need to update the framework with a current version which does not have that bug anymore. Try to get an OS update.

I also get this warning constantly when I try to open my answering machines WAV files sent to me via email! I see no possibility to unceck the warning also not in the settings of the media player.

I am running on CM 12.1 with Jan 2016 Patch Level so I should be fine - but the warning comes nonetheless and is kind of annoying (as good as it is ment) - I trust my answering machine - is there a way to get rid of the warning?

This is strange, there should be a checkbox to ignore the warning. Also WAV files shouldn't be affected. I will check why it is shown for WAV files too.

Could you open the file in my player and save it to a playlist, and then post the playlist here so I can check the name, please?

Unfortunately there is no standard way to check whether a phone has been patched or not.

I will check it. The authors of the other players just don't care about this huge Android bug. :(
