How to access the Phone from my desktop computer?

Hi,

I'm New Android user with a Samsung Galaxy S7 having trouble understanding connecting to my home network to access the S7 from my desktop computer.

Here are some specific question that I am having troubles with...
- Can I have the file system of the S7 appear in TC on my desktop computer and vice-versa (with the TC for Android app)?
- One of the features listed for TC9 is the ability to display an external device (Android) in the Alt=F1/F2 list, how do I achieve this?
- Where does the TC WiFi app come into play, how do I use it?
- Where does WebDAV app come into play, how do I use it? I do have a shared hosting account available, but I am unfamiliar with setting up WebDAV access and wasn't sure if it would be useful.

Sorry for the, what would appear to many as dump questions, but I am having trouble locating the answers.

Update: for connection questions above, I mean wireless.

This is cool. It seems TC for Android a good alternative to AirDroid, which is annoying for popups.
