Is this an external NTFS-formatted disk? Then it was written to from a different PC, including file permissions. To access the files, you need to
1. Right click on them, "Properties"
2. Take ownership via "Security" tab
3. Again right click on them, "Properties"
4. Give user "Everyone" full control

I think Mr Ghisler meant, you should make a right click on the drive letter, e.g. I: and choose "Properties" ...

Yes, all drives and all files (also C:\Windows) "Access denies" Practical nonsense. 100% FALSE.
Other tools are better, because they work perfectly. This is a bug in the TC.

If other tools work but TC not, it is a TC problem. However I pretty know that makinero is able to break anything and we absolutely need more details in order to find out what happens.

You're the only unique TC user who can't make TC work...

BTW it is VERY INTERESTING why do you try to COMPARE DIRECTORY USING FILE COMPARE TOOL and what do you expect to get by doing that.

That's awesome :D I confirm, I cannot compare a folder in a file content compare tool, huge bug! :D
Also, my phone does not microwave my food and my hammer does not ring during incoming calls. Bugs! Bugs everywhere! :D

Thank you makinero, your posts always brighten my day. :)

Each user uses a different system configuration.
It is not that everything and all users will work well.
How to enable "Debug Log" That should say something more about this than simple information.

If you read help, you would notice that it is a file compare tool, not directory compare one.

What Hacker and MVV is trying to tell you, is that you CANNOT use the "Compare By Content" tool to compare directories - you can ONLY compare files - and according to your screenshot: https://postimg.org/image/osahcn7fz/ you are trying to compare the directory C:\WINDOWS to something - that is ridiculous

So how do compare two folders with photos, but with different names. Find new images only in the second folder.
