how to change name of autorename copied

Post by *oko »

copy - overwrite options - autorename copied - result name has changed in last version of tc from "file(2)" to "file (2)". Space is added. Is there option to use it as old without space? Because other progamms that I use autonames file without space and tc now names with space, and there is chaos now.

Is there option to autorename files without space before bracket (as old behaviour of tc) ?

It was thanged in TC 9.10b1pre1:
10.07.17 Fixed: F5 copy, auto rename on name collisions: separate number (2) by a space from the file name, just like the Explorer and multi-rename tool (32/64)
There is no info of whether it can be configured or not.

Since 9.20 there is workaround: wincmd.ini [Configuration] AutoRenameMode=3: Determines how files are auto-renamed when copying or in multi-rename tool. Sum of: 1: append number (x) separated by space, 2: start number at (2), not (1). It is sufficient for me. Thanks to author.
