WatchDirs and colour coded files

Post by *aguirRe »

Using the new 6.52 and WatchDirs=3, it appears as if the colour coded files are not updated properly when the TC window gets refreshed in the background.

I have a specific colour (purple) for empty (size 0) files and when running a batch file that slowly and sequentially creates new files and writes data to them, I expected the files to appear in the TC window first purple (empty) and then standard black, one by one.

This didn't happen; the files appeared purple and stayed that way until I put TC in the foreground. Is this intended?

Hmm, interesting. In the meanwhile until this gets fixed, you can use this script.
I switched to Linux, bye and thanks for all the fish!

Yes, this is by design. Why? On downloads, the file would be updated every second, which could cause quite a delay with some color filters. Maybe I will add it as an option.

Thanks for the info, it's certainly not a big problem for me.
