Shift+F6 (inplace rename) separated extension field

I dream about something like this:

For common users in most cases the extension gets in the way. There are difficulties with cursor movement in field (e.g. End key goes after extension, or ctrl+arrow ignores dot - while in most fields or editors a dot is not ingored).

TC Help says:
Dialog box - Multi-rename tool
The reason why the two fields are separated is to prevent the accidental removal of file extensions, which would remove the association of files with a certain program.
I think it concerns Shift+F6 as well so why not to get out of risk and work easy?

In the meantime, you can press Shift+F6 twice to cycle through the 2 modes.

I know this, but the extension still gets in the way. It is helpful in some cases but in some cases it is helpful like cover extension by finger :)
