Yet v7.0 is not that far away! 
I hope I'm not breaking any rules but Christian has mentioned that v7.0 beta
testings will start immediately after the release of v6.54 bugfix release.
Just a note so that our members here should not be confused by the relatively
"long" date gaps from v6.53 to a new features release.
