couple of very basic questions.

Post by *junglemike »

HI everyone. I asked here couple of times, and you guys been very helpful.
Here's couple of simple questions. Tried searching but no results.

Question1:
Suppose that some directory is opened in TC that contains large number of files. Is there any quick way to to a file starting with specific letter ? (like it is in explorer, where i can just press X - and it will go to first file starting w/ X)

Question2:
Is there any quick way of renaming file/directory (like F2 in explorer)?
Preferebly w/o using a mouse. Curretnly i rename by pressing slow double-click on the file.
TIA.

Configuration->Options->Operation:Quick search (current dir)

Shift + F6 on the file to rename. Each other shift F6 toggles selection of name or name+ext.

1. There are many modes to do that. See [menu]Configuration > [section]Operation > Quick search.

2. By default, the keyboard shortcut of renaming is Shift+F6. You can assign F2 to cm_RenameOnly to be consist with explorer at [menu]Configuration > [section]Misc. > Redefine hotkeys
