[Beta] Branch View problem with some characters

Post by *jozef »

Tested on 6.54 Public Beta 2

If you have file with name containing some special characters (e.g. "Latin small letter N with Tilde", ASCII code 00F1) and you will use "Branch View (with Subdirs)" = Ctrl+B then such files will be displayed not correctly and if you will try to copy such file from this branch view you will get a "Cannot read" copy error. When copying from original directory (without Branch view, where filename looks correctly) there is no problem with copying of this file.
See prepared test directory containing such files

PS: Nice application this Total Commander.
PPS: Don't you give license as a reward when "issue" is found and confirmed ?

Sorry, Unicode is currently NOT supported in branch view. It's also not supported in directory names, because directories are still kept in ANSI format.
