Can you please give me some hints on how to reproduce this? I did the same as in beta 3 (as shown in the above video), but the bug no longer happens here. Please help!

Christian,
It seems the bug only occurs when selecting text not on the first line.
Also, maybe it's easier to select the text from right to left (so your selection "ends" at the beginning of the line, not "starts").

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Good afternoon,
- I could reproduce that bug copying from an ANSI *.CSS text file, like you can see on this video.
- It occurs for me only when I select some empty space -I mean : when the text does not start at the very beginning of the line- or else, it doesn't.
Note : All is in French {including DemoStudio recorder } but it's obvious for everybody anyway… XP-Pro SP1.
- Hoping this helps,
m.g.G.

Thanks very much for the videos! This is a completely unrelated problem to the one in the first line! What happens is the following: Lister notices that the copied text starts with 0x10 (linefeed), and moves the string one character to the left. Then it replaces the additional character by a 0x0. But before copying the string to the clipboard, all #0 are replaced by spaces (e.g. for copying from binary files), so the result is a trailing space...
Please contact me by e-mail if you want a test version which fixes the problem.

OK !

Thank you !
- I got the fixed version, it works normally now.
- I performed exactly the same test several times, selecting from left to right and the opposite, no problem, no longer any extra-space forward the last pasted character…

I have tested it with several plain text files - and no, it is not beacuse I copy a new line character - it happens if I copy only a part of a line starting from the left margin.
And yes I am running TC6.54 pb4 on Win XP SP2

If you select more to the left than the first character, this copies the end of the CRLF character (which is later removed, but causes the buffer to be 1 byte too large).
