BTW, as TC7 final is out and additional languages are published on the official page, I think this thread may be unsticked or at least renamed (to remove "beta 1").

this is script especially for converting tc files (lng, mnu, inc and txt("readme")):
http://qdb.narod.ru/bUtAn/yazow_kucirgic.7z
it is may be used to convert from cyrillic to latin, for example.
and if christian ghisler would allow, i would include also the "unregistered" (and other a few lines) text ciphering script(algorithm).
this script is .hta file. with tatar language .dat files in archive.
of course who would like (can) use it, should modify it for his language.

i'm sorry i have writen so (in such manner) in the previous post, i wanted to say that "unregistered" text ciphering algorithm is secret and should not be published but it would be useful if it were in my script and let who wants translate them ask ghisler about them, or maybe there is information about it somewhere.

that tc v7.04 tatar language files converted to utf-8, ciphered part is not correct: http://tmf.org.ru/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=66 . this is for new versions of total commander, it now supports unicode.
