Hm, I think you already know this, but just in case not: After choosing any theme, you can further configure the appearance of some elements in Display properties -> Appearance -> Advanced. So you can e.g. choose another color for selected text or the desktop background.
I was using some of B0ses themes for a while, but in any of them, I had to adjust some colors (inactive/active elements, menu highlight) to other colors to be better visible.
