How does your 7.0 look ?

Post by *Clo »

:D Hello All !

• I guess that many users are glad to get a lot of new features, especially about the GUI…
- So, please show your screenies in that thread… 8)

• I show mine HERE, it's certainly the least “in the style” !
- So, feel free to yell at will, no problem, my earplugs are within reach ! :P

• Have fun !

 Kind regards,
Claude

a bit simpler look...

This is how I have gotten to prefer my TotalCmd over the years, with the new alternating backcolor style added. I have removed most icons - I NEVER use the mouse in TotalCommander anyway, but learned the shortcuts (which is what I believe is the real strength of TC).

Well, I used StickyNomad's icons before, so there is not much difference from 6.55: http://img150.imageshack.us/img150/6828/bild1da6.png (265 kB).

EDIT:

Thanks to your screenshots I just found out about the new bicoloured backgroud feature. :-) http://img183.imageshack.us/img183/5625/bild3db6.png

Thanks to the new command system, finally I can get rid of start menu, so does the menu bar(!).
Now my TC interface is extremely modest: no button bar, no drive button bar, no command line, no function key buttons, and no menu bar.
Maximum panel space but nothing fancy to show off .

PS:
The new icons are very impressive. But I'm already so used to my old ICL file which I've been using for a long time, I will stick to it. Sorry StickyNomad.;) If there're anything except good words about new icons I have to say, I would say to me it's a little bit hard to tell between folders and archives, because their colors are alike.

How did you get the nice effect around the buttons ? Did you draw/add it yourself? or is it a feature I missed?

Here is mine with FavMenu.ahk script from majkinetor

Edit :
OK I found how to get this effect, Right click in button bar and uncheck flat icons.

Well, I can see the function key buttons at the bottom. So, you haven't
learned the shortcuts really! (no offence I'm just kidding)

Anyway, here's mine: http://img338.imageshack.us/img338/5498/tcv7xa9.png

What the hell did you do with the Favmenu :) :).
I never imagine it to be so large :)
I like it !

Unfortunately, I have some problems with big icons after it is finished, and I am thinking of abandoning AutoHotkey as a programming language.

I am thinking of rewriting the entire project in C.
Too bad I have new favorite toy to play with. I am currently working on Conky for WIndows :) as Favmenu has its functional form already so it can wait a little. Alternative is that Chris@AHK help me with the big icons and find what is preventing the script to recieve some windows messages...

Do you use some plugin to get the tree-view on the left size of your Commander?
