It doesn't work under "Letter Only" mode, right?
Is it possible to make it work under "Letter Only" mode? That would be great!

Are there real chances to extend MatchFileW method a little bit or add another one?

Currently it gives filter and file name but it would be also great to get visible columns content somehow too.

That way it would be very easy to create something to fit my idea from the past.

I made a big suggestion thread for changes in tcmatch.dll here.
It includes all suggestions made here.

No, at the moment it requires the quick search dialog, e.g. "letters with search dialog".

I adjusted my Google like Quicksearch to support PinYin. But the PinYin support is experimental. Couldnt create a Chinese folder on my German WinXP. So please Test and tell me if it works.

As a Chinese user, I've been using and totally satisfied with Shanny's PinYin QuickSearch Pro (May 30, 2009 version). Even if you have only files with English names, it works like a charm.

This function will be integrated into TC, right?

In fact it's already done.
Have you tried this?

there're 2 major differences between the two as far as I'm concerned:
With Google like Quicksearch,
--Is it possible to match the beginning? (Not matching beginning or end has been counter-productive for me.)
--After entering one letter, Shanny's Pinyin Quick search Pro immediately filters out results on the screen (so you don't see the rest which are distracting); while with Google like Quicksearch the cursor merely jumps to the 1st candidate in a long list of files.

Therefore, until Google like Quicksearch allows more customization, I'll have to stick with Shanny.

Google like search is not supposed to match from the the beginning or end. But in my opinion it offers more flexible ways to locate files you're looking for. Of cause it's up to you to decide which way is better for you.

Did you try Quickfilter(press CTRL+S)? It is a new feature of TC7.5.

Edit:
On second thought, I didn't remember Shanny's QSP has its own filter feature (I used it before too). I guess you were using it while Quickfilter was on. It will have the same effect with Samuel's add-on.

1. I think of supporting the "match at beginning" option. See main thread, but I must have additional information.

2. Removed some wrong text.
-> vic2009 understood it right and gave the solution.
