I just compared a large local folder with its FTP companion. It took quite a while.
As often with FTP comparisons, there were some differences in time stamps for identical files. Not the usual hour, but a few seconds.
Hence I needed to re-scan with the Ignore date option which again took 20 minutes or so.
Now I think: Why the need to scan again? Since I guess that the files are stored (or at least, could be) in the list with their time stamps and other meta data, why not make the option work immediately without a new scan. That would have saved me 20 minutes.
The Asymmetric option could work the same way, BTW.
