TC 7 Bug Report: Compatibility with lister plugins ?

Post by *zhv »

In TC pb1, listers plugins(IniEd.wlx, SGViewer.wlx,excellence.wlx ect.) always lead to such dialogues:

http://img216.imageshack.us/img216/8116/snap2am3.png

All work well in TC 6.**.

I cannot reproduce this problem either. Can you try to rename your wincmd.ini and install just ONE of these plugins to check whether it depends on your configuration, please?

If yes, please try to delete as many lines as possible until the error still ocurs, and then post your wincmd.ini here. Thanks!

It is not the first bugreport from a WXP SP1 user you cannot reproduce. Strange.

:) Hello !

• Here, I've SGViewer only, it works quite fine in TC 7.0 ß-1 under Win XP-Pro SP1.
- Maybe is it XP-Home related ?

- I'd no problem with that plugin while the private tests,
be sure that I would have reported this whether any issue had been found out !

Well, I have tried to reinstalled TC 7 pb1, and installed only SGViewer(wlx_SGViewer_1.9) , but the problem still remains.

I hope so, but it seems not...

I have invited some friends to do the test, the result made it even more complex:
One friend using OS same as mine (XP Home SP1 CHS) said it works fine, with the same configuration.
Another friend (WinXP Pro SP2 English + IrfanView) said that he encountered the similar problem.

It seems that the problem is related with OS configuration...

Oh, I think I've found what the problem is:
It's because of the conflict between TC 7 pb1 and DM2(the former "dialogue mate", a great windows-management-enhancement tool, can be downloaded or here).

When DM2 is closed, the listers work fine.

But still I'm confused:
Is this bug due to TC pb1 or DM2?
Since TC 6.* works fine in coordination with DM2, there must be some changes of TC 7 pb1 lead to the conflict.

Hope it can be well resolved!

Best regards

Difficult to say what the problem is, I will test it with DM2.

Thanks for finding the reason!

I have installed DM2 and SGViewer now under XP - no problems! Can you send me your DM2 settings, please? I don't know where it stores them - if in the registry please use Regedit - Export - Only selected branch.
