Sep. Tree (2,14Panel) and CTRL+Left/Right sync. problem

Post by *HolgerK »

1. Activate "Separate tree (Two, one for each panel)".
2. Place the cursor in the left file list.
3. Select any other directory/drive than the one viewed in the right panel.
3. Use CTRL+Right to open the directory/drive under cursor in the opposite panel.
=> the path in the right file list is changed, but the right tree is not updated!

Opposite action "CTRL+Left: get path from right panel" works fine.

Kind regards
Holger

Hello petermad,

Just for clarification:

Pushing the path from the active panel to the inactive panel is buggy.
Pulling the path from inactive panel to the active panel is OK.

Doesn't matter if the active panel is on the left or right side.

Kind regards
Holger

You are right, I have to add the "refresh tree" function manually to each function which can change the current directory (and there are really a lot of them).

Sounds like you should make "change directory" into a signal and let things observe this (i.e., the Observer pattern). Then you wouldn't have to update all commands to report this kind of thing.
