The same error occurs, no difference to TC 7.
You are right! Initially it was "Windows &XP' which interfered with Alt+X (my favourite :P) then out of tiredness and lack of ideas thought that omitting the '&' solves the problem.

Now I remember that back in TC6 series I solved a similar problem by turning &Mark into Mar&k (not by omitting '&' entirely)

Even the addition of "&." "Widows XP&." would work.
Well... isn't that an idea?! :D

Thank you. Looking forward to it.

Then the use of "Widows& XP" seems much better to me because Alt+Space does not open the Windows XP menu but the context menu you get if you click on the Task bar (restore, minimize, move etc.)

Seems u dont use the menu a lot with keyboard do u ?
1st download http://home.arcor.de/rosa.elefant/tc/language.zip
2nd dezip it into tcs language folder
3rd new you have 0 & in the Menu Titles
and still you will be able to open "Netz" for example with Alt+N
And as Sheepdog stated (and I before) this is NOT OS but M$ releated
as they Created the MenuObject with captures the Alt Key :)

Perhaps you should sometimes turn AHK off to see how windows really works m8 :)

Microsoft Word does not work this way.

I have already confirmed that at the bottom of the last page. Also roentgen666 has responded to that posting already. The misunderstanding has been solved regarding that. Thanks for your contribution.

@Sheepdog, I cannot confirm that under XP:
Windows XP&. doesn't help.
Windows& XP doesn't help too.

The only way – still – to prevent the popup HERE is by exchanging Windows menu entry to Xindows... As long as two Ws exist, the menu pops up.

Have you also tried under XP or only under W9X? Please send me the menu by mail which works for you, so I can try. This is more effective I think. :)

The only way to disable it is by removing the W, for example Xindows
I learned something new here - I didn't know that Windows simply uses the first letter as a hotkey when no hotkey is appointed by an &. :-)

If you are using my WCMD_ENG2.MNU then change the "&Windows" entry to "W&indows" and leave the "Windows &XP" entry as it is. Then it should work with your Alt+W shortcurtfor winrar.
