wrong panel width in horizontal view with single tree

Post by *bugmenot »

Couldn't find any bug report on this one, so here it is...

To reproduce do the following:

- enable the new single tree view (one for both panels)
- enable Show->Vertical Arrangement (the horizontal view mode)
- enable Quick View Panel
- disable Quick View Panel

now both panels are to wide for the viewing area so you can't see the directory hotlist/history buttons, scrollbar etc.

to get it back to normal just resize the width of the tree view.

a similar thing happens here:

- enable the new single tree view (one for both panels)
- enable Show->Vertical Arrangement (the horizontal view mode)
- enable Quick View Panel
- resize height of the Quick View Panel

now the Quick View Panel is to wide for the viewing area so you can't see the directory hotlist/history buttons, scrollbar etc.

to get it back to normal just resize the width of the tree view.

Hope that helps!

Merry Christmas

2bugmenot
enable the horizontal view mode
Is that the same as enabeling: "Show" -> "Vertical Arrangement" in the standard menu (cm_VerticalPanels) :?: Or is it disabeling that option :?:

yes, sorry, I should have written:

enable Show->Vertical Arrangement

I just think of it being horizontal, because the divider is horizontal, but you could also argue that the panels are now in a 'vertical arangement'...

p.s. edited the original post to reflect this

I can not reproduce this. Could you perhaps provide a screenshot of the condition?

Unfortunately I cannot reproduce this error either. Please post a screenshot as petermad has suggested!

I cannot reproduce this bug when start TC with fresh ini file, but i can do with my daily use ini file, so after many investigations i discovered that, the bug can be reproduce only if you have DividerQuickView under your screen resolution settings.

in my case i have this

Code: Select all

[800x600 (8x16)]
DividerQuickView=407

Confirmed now!

When DividerQuickView !=500 this happens as described in bugmenot's first posting - the History and Hotlist buttons disappear as do the vertical scrollbar - see red arrows at: http://madsenworld.dk/tcmd/verticalviewerror.png (view = Full)
