TCrc4: Wrong cursor position when renaming new .rtf to *.*

Post by *iNSiDE »

1. Create Rich Text document using context menu
2. When you will be asked to enter the name, erase ".rtf" and enter for example file.txt. Cursor will not be at the new file. Bug?

Confirmed - but you don't even have to change the extension to .txt for this to happen.

Yes, I know, it's just an example. Look at the name of the topic ;)

What I meant was that you can maintain the .rtf extension and still see the bug - maybe that's also what you meant, but that wasn't quite clear to me - sorry.

I'm afraid my English is rather bad. But, I have this bug only with RTF, and the extensions can differ. Nevertheless, I think Ghisler will reproduce and fix this bug.
By the way, I found this bug because the template of txt file vanished in context menu, and I tried to rename rtf... Why can txt template disappear? :?: Excuse me for off-topic :?

:) Hello !

• That's weird, since here I've alright the types in the New Menu entry>> Sub-menu like you can see HERE.

• Like the Author said elsewhere, now with RC4 we have the related extensions within parenthesis…

- Note : A part is in French, despite I set TC in English because these strings come from Windows, apparently…

Yes, it looks similar, but it's not the same. I think Ghisler should totally review the algorithm of renaming files...

Thanks! Indeed the new file was created in a different way for the .rtf format than for other file types, so I didn't notice it first.
