dark mode, no difference between background and dialog colors

Post by *kamerunka »

there is no difference between background and dialog colors.
It makes difficult to distinguish between window background (list, text. etc.) and dialog.
The divider between directory lists is completely invisible

there is no difference between background and dialog colors.
Would you prefer bright dialogs as in the Explorer (e.g. Delete or Properties)

There is no divider in dark mode, except when disabling the flat interface.

- no, no bright dialogs, but different dark gray
- didn't get the reasoning for no divider with flat dark interface

There is no divider in normal mode either. There is a border around the active/inactive window. You can enable that in dark mode by disabling the "Flat user interface" option in Configuration - Options - Layout. I think it looks a bit overloaded this way...

flat ui is better, but if you are using brief (filenames only) view, missing divider is kind of confusing

Do you have the vertical button bar disabled? It acts as a sort of divider.

I noticed this also, but i was still wondering if this was missing or just looked cleaner...

Yes, vertical button bar is disabled here

Disabling the flat interface gives edges around the "\" and ".." (always something right!? :lol: )

Beta 7 will mostly use the non-flat look in dark mode. You can still get the old look via wincmd.ini,
[Layout]
DarkListBorders=0
