[9.5RC2] Drag file from pack lost the focus

Post by *thomasmo »

Enter a package like ZIP, if drag a file to the parent folder -- just like [..] -- to unpack it, it often pop a "HIDENT" windows rob the focus, I couldn't click any where in normal TC win, it would sound "ding" like click a window with sth on the TOP, but couldn't found anyone. and coulnt press alt+f4 to close it.

Not confirmed so far. If I understand you correctly, the TC window not only loses the focus, but becomes unclickable?
Could you send me more details, please?
1. Total Commander 32-bit or 64-bit
2. Windows version. If Windows 10, which one? See menu Commands - System information.
3. If possible, please post the [Configuration] section of your wincmd.ini

Is this zip file password protected, broken or incomplete?

Do you have the same problem when unpacking to the other file panel with F5 or drag&drop?

What is your version of Total Commander? If it is 9.50 RC1 or RC2, it may be a thing described here: viewtopic.php?f=32&t=57216
which will be fixed in next Total Commander release candidate.
Edit: I see topic title says its TC 9.50 RC2, so please re check whether the problem will happen in next RC of TC when it will be released.

If I press F5, there is no problem. Only launch the error with drag&drop.

I may have found the reason why it hangs: TC doesn't really hang, its main window just gets disabled. I have sent you a test version to your forum e-mail from my GMail address. Could you please try it? Thanks!

Thank you
I have downloaded this version and tested it many times. This error has not occurred so far.
I will follow up testing from time to time.

Great, thanks for your quick feedback! So it really was the same problem as the one mentioned by DrShark.
