[b1a x32] Tabscrolling doesn't work on Win XP/7 x32

Post by *Fla$her »

HISTORY wrote:23.10.20 Added: Use mouse wheel to scroll through directory tabs (like in Firefox) when not using multi-line tabs (32/64)
Win 7 x32. Service "Themes" is stopped. Scrolling on the tabbar doesn't work. TC without plugins (Autorun.wdx provides a similar capability).

Before you can scroll, there has to be so many tabs, so that they cannot fit in the bar.

If you mean the moment when the arrows appear to the right of the bar, then this doesn't affect in any way.

However, if this scrolling should repeat the actions of the arrows, just moving the entire bar, then this is definitely not useful to me.
I thought it was about moving the tab itself back and forth like cm_MoveTabRight/cm_MoveTabLeft. Or cm_SwitchToPreviousTab/cm_SwitchToNextTab as an option (e.g. Ctrl+).

By the way, the arrows themselves move the panel in opposite directions, which looks like a bug.

Yes, that is when I experience it, and that feature wasn't there in TC 9.51

And is the same way it works in Firefox, no scrolling by wheel until the tabs bar is full (and arrow appears).

BTW, you can move a tab by drag and drop with the mouse.

Under the same conditions that I specified?

I'm aware. )) I'm not complaining about what I'm missing. I also wrote about the implementation in Autorun (see my examples in help_en.chm on the ControlSetMouseAction page).

Not quite, I use Aero theme under Windows 7 x64, and I don't feel like switching to Classic theme to test, because that messes up the icons on my Desktop which is manually arranged.

Now I checked on Aero, it doesn't work there either. Changing the title.

I just testet on Windows XP - tab bar scrolling by wheel does work here too - as long as there are enough tabs to make the two arrow buttons appear in the right side of the tab bar. "All tabs have same width" must NOT be enabled in the configuration.

The conditions match. However, why does the option have to touch scrolling at all? This is also a problem.

For some reason scolling has never been possible when "All tabs have same width" is enabled - not in TC 9.51 either - there scollbuttons simply do not appear with this option on.

EDIT: This assumption is wrong - se later posting: https://ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?p=397844#p397844

But now they appear. Independently of the setting.
