[10.00b1a] Media viewer: mouse wheel for volume/position is inverted

Post by *Flint »

In all the media players I've used, when I hover the volume control and scroll up, the volume increases; with down it decreases. Same with positioning: up goes forward, down backwards.
In the new TC Media Player this behavior is inverted: scroll up decreases the volume / goes backwards; and scroll down increases the volume / goes forwards.

I would suggest to implement an option to use inverted or non-inverted directions. Maybe even separate such options for volume and positioning.

I would go as far as considering this being a bug. Scrolling the wheel up should turn the volume .... down by default? No.
I suggest to change the default behavior to scrolling up = volume up / time "up" and scrolling down = volume down / time "down".
And additionally an option to invert it for those people who want to turn the volume up or moving forward in time by scrolling down ;-)

I'm not handling the wheel there, it's handled by Windows itself for this control. I don't know whether this can be changed at all. :(

Confirm that in beta 3 the scrolling is now performed in the correct direction, both position and volume. Thanks for fixing it!
