[TC 10 b10] String 2105 is confusing

Post by *yong »

String 2105 reads "double click to apply" but it is shown right after the little edit box used to hide menu items in the list above, this is confusing because I double clicked the edit box several times before realizing I should have clicked the menu item instead. Maybe this wording is better:

2105="double click menu item to apply"

Unfortunately I have already contacted the translators of the included languages. :(

Now that I'm moving string 2105 to its own line, I'm thinking of making this more detailed so people could understand it better, e.g.
2105="double click menu item to add/remove special character"
or
2105="double click menu item to hide/show menu item"
or
2105="double click menu item to hide/show it"

What do you think?

I would vote for this:
2105="double click menu item to hide/show it"

How about:
2105="double click menu item to add/remove the character"
or
2105="double click menu item to add/remove character"

In my opinion, a user should be informed here that he should double-click on a menu item,
so that the entry is hidden or shown afterwards.

The first part already mentions the following:
[✓] Hide menu items starting with this character: ?

In my opinion, a user should be informed here that he should double-click on a menu item,
Well, all the suggestions start with "Double click menu item to", so they all fulfill this requirement.

How about
2105="double click menu item to hide/show it (add/remove the character)"

OK, I have updated difres1000.zip accordingly. Please let me know if there are other changes needed, afterwards I will contact also the translators of the not included languages.

String 2105 changed to:
"double click menu item to hide/show it (add/remove the character)"
in TC 10 rc1 :-)

But it looks like the author forgot to change the string in German - wcmd_deu.lng still uses:
2105="doppelklicken zum Anwenden"
