Separate tree mode and drive A without a disk in it

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Separate tree mode and drive A without a disk in it

Post by *wanderer »

In this situation, a new popup appears allowing you to select another drive. When you select one (i.e. C: ), the tree does not reflect the drive change. This also happens in the classic tree view.

I have just tried to reproduce that, but both the single separate tree and the per panel tree switches to the indicated drive.

Perhaps I'm not doing the same as you? I did the following
1. Turn on 1 or two separate trees
2. Press Alt+F1
3. Press 'a' -> Drive dialog comes up
4. Press 'c' -> separate tree switches to 'c' drive

1. In Separate tree, expand My computer and click on A. In the drive selection box that appears, either press cancel or select C: and press OK.

Ah, I see - in this special case it is intentional, so you can insert a floppy disk and press ENTER to retry.

Yes but it is inconsistent to show the contents of C: at the files panel and A at the tree panel. Of course if you change to a subdir in the fiels panel, the tree panel gets synchronized, but still...
