TC don't copy NTFS streams for directories

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

TC don't copy NTFS streams for directories

Post by *Led »

Streams for directories are lost after copying in TC.
Files are OK.
Option in wincmd.ini CopyStreams=1
I create and view streams with my plugin http://ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?t=12538

Windows Explorer copy streams with directories correctly.

TC does NOT copy directories, it just creates them on demand. Streams for directories are not supported.

I don't think Explorer does. I have never seen a CopyDirectory function.

Did you try whether Explorer copies folder streams (e.g. Explorer comments)?

- Copy & paste copy --> OK
- Copy using Explorer --> OK
- Copy using TC --> _Not_ OK (doesn't matter if with or without using compatibility mode).
