Network path tabs not loaded on startup

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Network path tabs not loaded on startup

Post by *adoeller »

Some tabs, including my active tabs, are network paths, i.e. \\srv\bla\bla. When closing and reopening TC, the active network tabs default to C.
Inactive network tabs are loading the network path correctly upon activation.

This happends in the latest beta as well as in the latest stable version.

1. Do you have a backslash in the field
Configuration - Options - Refresh - "Do not remember these drives on exit" ?

2. Does this happen only when TC auto-starts with Windows? If yes, the network connections may not have been restored yet.

Sorry, cannot reproduce. Could you send me your wincmd.ini to support at ghisler dot com, please? You may remove things like directory history, start menu, and hotlist (bookmarks) which are ot relevant for reproducing the problem.

Does the same happen if to set wincmd.ini parameter IgnoreDirErrors=1 in [Configuration] section of wincmd.ini?

Hi,
I got back to work and tested the IgnoreDirErrors options - and it is working :)
I recognized that I have two different network paths, one was working and one was not. Now with the =1 option both are working.

This solution is fine for me, do you want any logs about the network path access?

It's probably a problem with missing user rights. If SetCurrentDirectory to the network path fails, TC will revert to local C:.
