[TC 9.50b11] "Connect" dialog moves focus to wrong panel (not reproducible)

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

[TC 9.50b11] "Connect" dialog moves focus to wrong panel (not reproducible)

Post by *StatusQuo »

On left panel (important):
  • have an inactive tab with path of a slow or inaccessible network drive (to reuse it: locked with directory changes allowed),
  • have another tab active next to it.
  • Use Ctrl(+Shift)+Tab to switch to the tab of slow/inaccessible drive:
  • wait for the dialog "Connect..." and click "Cancel",
  • on the next dialog select "C" as the active drive.
=> Focus always moves to the right panel, although it was on left panel before the "Connect" dialog.
Focus should always return to the previously active panel.

(Not reproducible after a restart of TC - then it worked as expected again.)
Maybe TC can make sure this is the case when returning from the dialogs Connect / select active drive?

Found in TC 9.50b11 32bit on Win7 x64

NOT confirmed here. To reproduce the problem, I turned off the remote computer. Then I switched to the tab, clicked on Cancel and chose drive C. The focus always remained on the left panel, though.

Thanks for testing.
I already expected the chance to find the cause is low as long it's not reproducible. Just wanted to let you know.

Running TC 9.50b11 suddenly started doing this 100% reproducible. After checking that TC 9.22a (running in background) doesn't have the problem, I restarted the beta11 instance - and the problem was gone. :/
(Side note: This day I had quite a lot of these "Connect" dialogs working normally before this occurred, since I frequently accessed a server with a short sleep timeout.)

Very strange - please let me know if you find a reliable way to reproduce it. Maybe it only occurs under special conditions.
