Unsolved [TC 10 rc2] cm_ListMulti does not work with MediaAudio2 plugin

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Unsolved [TC 10 rc2] cm_ListMulti does not work with MediaAudio2 plugin

Post by *petermad »

I don't know if this is a bug, a limitation or a missing feature:

When using the cm_ListMulti command or F3 when configured as viewer for selected files when browsing with the MediaAudio2 plugin then multiple files can not be viewed - there is no possibility to go to next or previous selected file.

Multiple files are NOT supported when browsing a file system plugin or FTP server. Why? Total Commander downloads the file you try to view, and passes that to Lister. It would have to download all selected files before a single file can be viewed. Lister does not have a download capability itself.

The problem is that the plugins are not able to handle multiple parallel downloads. So when the user switches to Lister with 10 not downloaded files, then switches back and starts a long download or upload, Lister would not be able to download the next/previous file.

OK - this can be moved to TC Behaviour which will not be changed
