Hello, cangia.

What happens if you launch "Notepad" from Start => Programs => Accessories?

What is the value of the setting "Editor=" inside your Total Commander wincmd.ini file?

How much total memory is in use when you receive this error message? Please, use either the Windows Task Manager or Sysinternals Process Explorer or Process Hacker in order to find out.

By the way, I have never experienced the reported "out of memory" error on my Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit system. So I assume it must be related to some kind of configuration issue on your system, Windows configuration or Total Commander configuration.

Kind regards,
Karl

TC always starts notepad.exe for editing the ini files. Maybe notepad.exe was deleted from the Windows directory or SysWow64 directory? TC needs to find it in one of these two places.
