Not confirmed.

Here is what I tried:
1. Start TC 7.57
2. Place cursor on a directory
3. Press ENTER and keep it down -> TC switches quickly into the dir and back out of it (in a loop)
4. Insert USB stick

Result: TC keeps changing dirs all the time until the drive appears in the drive button bar, no freezing at all. Tested on Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit.

Ok - may be is only my configuration problem. When I connect usb pendrive and set active window Total Commander and change in total commander drive (to pendrive or C: or d: etc.) or click in panel (in active window) then is freeze system...
I check - may be my configuration error.
Thanks

So, freezing happens not when you plug the drive but when you change the drive? Try CheckUsbHdd=0 then.

That will not help because CheckUsbHdd is TC8 only. Older versions didn't check for USB harddisks.

Maybe it's a problem with your virus scanner?
