Restore TC Settings

Post by *Mueli »

Is there any way to move the TC-Settings on a second phone or restore the settings in case of a phone crash?

No, you don't need root access to change this file with Total Commander itself!

Just create a new button of type "Directory" with command
/data/data/com.ghisler.android.TotalCommander

Then you can copy the file to your SD-Card.

Unfortunately you can't do that with FTP, because the plugin stores the settings by itself. Total Commander cannot access other program's settings.

Or you can store the file in the Net, in case your SD-card falls.

sorry for bumbing this old tropic

How do i create a button to get the settings file out?

I have a Samsung Galaxy SG II.

I have tried to create a shortcut the folder using tcm, also tried to create a bookmark in tcm but nothing worked, still can't open the folder.

A build in function to save settings could be nice in the next beta :)

Cheers

Just press the button with the green plus sign to add a new button. Then follow the steps in my post above.

Hallo,
