Can I display MP3 tags in the TC Media Player?

I see in the TC Media Player Configure there is a Show ID3 tags if available setting and I have it checked. But I don't see the tags anywhere in the queue - only the track and filename followed by the directory.

I'm especially interested in the Title and Album Artist tags.

This means that TC couldn't load the ID3 tags. Where are the files located?
- in a file system directory like /storage/emulated/0
- on a virtual folder, like ///_SDCard
- remotely, e.g. via LAN plugin?

I was playing them via the Windows Live OneDrive plugin. They are in my OneDrive for Business storage.

Based on what you said, I tried first DLing them to a directory on my SD card. When I do that, I do see Artist and Title tags in the queue.

Also, I didn't realize it before, but I can see a thumbnail of the cover.jpg art when the directory is local but not when I'm accessing through the OneDrive plugin.

I see - currently id3 tags are not retrieved for remote files. TC would have to download each file at least partially (start of file, sometimes also end of file) just to get their tags.

Is there a way to hide the complete url to the file in queue, in case there is a loadable mp3tag ?

I understand. It's not a problem. I intended to DL temporary local copies for playing anyway, in order to avoid streaming data charges when away from wifi.

Thank you, as always, ghisler.
