Root:Fix SELinux context

Post by *sandwood » 2019-01-23, 15:40 UTC

I have android 9 and Total Commander 2.91
I recently noticed the Configure/Settings and saw that Root: Fix SELinux context was ticked.
Does this action Root my phone?
Apologies in advance if this is a daft question, I've never rooted my phone.
Cheers.

Here is the answer to everyone else:
No, Total Commander doesn't have the capability to root your phone. This option is enabled by default for the case where the phone is rooted and you copy to certain directories. It corrects the user rights of the copied files.

Hi Christian,

Thanks for the perfect product and help. I'm using Total Commander 2.91 as well. But I'm not sure how to set the correct context? Sorry, I'm just trying to make things clear: what I can change and what these changes may lead to.

Best,
Johnell

Many things are documented in the help within the app (Main menu - HTML Help). You can also find some info in the Wiki:
