Hey,

I installed a dedicated server recently and used my phone to transfer files too using the amazing SFTP plugin. However by an accident I lost the password and only TC has it saved now within the SFTP plugin. The phone is rooted and I could find the password encrypted in an XML map, but how can I decrypt it?

Thanks

Hello,
You can decrypt it using windows if the file is in your computer following these steps:
Step 1
Click the Windows "Start" button and select "Computer." Navigate to the folder where your XML file is located. Right-click the file and select "Properties."

Step 2
Click the "Advanced" button in the "General" tab. A new configuration window opens. Check the box labeled "Encrypt contents to secure data." Click "OK" to encrypt the file. It only takes a few seconds to encrypt the file. Click "OK" again in the main properties window.

Step 3
Click the Windows "Start" button again and select "Computer." Navigate to an encrypted XML file. You can also use the previously encrypted file to test the settings. Right-click the file and select "Properties."

Step 4
Click the "Advanced" button in the "General" tab. In the opened window, remove the check mark next to "Encrypt contents to secure data" and click "OK." The XML file is decrypted.
