Create shortcut / link to file or folder

Post by *Naartaalbevel »

Excuse me if this is obvious but I can't figure it out. How do I make create a link to a file or folder in TC for Android? I don't mean in the launcher but in the file structure / directories. Thank you.

Total Commander doesn't have such feature, but if Android has system tool to make links (usually one is installed with Android), you can use it from Total Commander button to create links, see this post. If the device is not rooted, the only location when new links may be created will probably be Total Commander's own data folder (its path is /data/data/com.ghisler.android.TotalCommander and you can go there by creating a button with Change directory function type and this path as a command).
