Strange, I never has this problem with long audio files. Total Commander tries to resume at the last position, maybe this is a problem?

I will check it, thanks. Maybe it only happens when Total Commander was unloaded by Android? You can simulate this by
1. Pausing and closing the player via "X"
2. Unloading Total Commander via Android task list

Which Android version do you use?

I couldn't reproduce the problem on Android 10. Even when closing the viewer at position 230, it resumes from there when I re-open it, also when closing and re-opening Total Commander.

Android 9.
I'm able to reproduce problem with any long amr file.
I have to switch to vlc when I exceed 110 minutes also i much prefer TC.

I have now tested on Android 9 (Huawei tablet). Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I cannot reproduce any problems:
1. Scrolled to about 126:40
2. It played just fine beyond 127:08
3. Paused at 127:30 at "morti per fame, morti per repressione"
4. Closed player with red X
5. Close Total Commander via task manager
6. Started Total Commander via Android launcher
7. Clicked on amr file
-> It resumed exactly at 127:30
8. Repeated the same at about 250 minutes
-> It resumed exactly at 250:07

Started Total Commander via Android launcher after Close Total Commander via task manager work also for me but the play start after 10 seconds. Without restart not play.
But when i moved to 188:38 it not play also after restart.

It could be a bug in the used audio codec on your specific phone model. Manufacturers have to license these codecs (many are patented) and therefore don't all use the same codecs. Here it works with Samsung and Huawei. Since I have no influence on the installed codecs and cannot install my own into the media player control, there is no way for me to fix it. VLC is different because it doesn't use the Android mediaplayer control, it does everything internally.

My workaround at the moment is to split the audio file.
