TC player disables Android audio fx / viperFX

Post by *geoslake »

Hi, happy to user on both windows and Android here, so first, thanks !!!
I'm using the latest 3.01 beta on Android, but it happened with prior versions as well.
I have viperFX installed on my device, and have it set to equalize, compress etc my sound to improve it.
This is the Magisk module, on Android 8.

I'm using TC audio player and I love it. However, it kills ViperFX, after about 5 seconds. This is with all TC fx and EQ unchecked, so it shouldn't bypass viperFX...
If I read the audio or video from the browser, it works fine. It's not the phone killing it cos it's running out of ram for instance, it does it even with nothing loaded BUT TC.

But...it doesn't do it on my Android 10 tablet with the same setup.

Thanks for the help !

Strange, I'm using the normal Android MediaPlayer control. I assume that it hooks itself in that control somehow. Maybe it doesn't like one of the paramters used by TC? If you can reach the author, he may be able to check this in the debugger.
