Allow More History for File Selection

Post by *FredJohnston »

Is there a way to Allow More History for File Selection, or clear the existing history set all at once?

I've used up the histories so new selections don't save.

I'd be happy if it just did a FIFO on the list but it seems once full, that's it, no more.

Even a button 'clear ALL selections' would be ok (besides the Clear Selection's option.

More info...
(This is when I click the + beside 'Select/Unselect Files'... I can 'Remove Selection'' one by one, but it doesn't wipe properly either... They seems to reappear magically.

You can edit the file historyPrefs.xml manually:
1. Change via home folder - system main directory to the following folder:
/data/data/com.ghisler.android.TotalCommander/shared_prevs
2. Edit the file historyPrefs.xml via long click context menu
3. Delete the line starting with
<string name="sel">
4. Save the file
5. Important: Close Total Commander via Android task list, otherwise the xml file may be overwritten.
