The key to delete have NOT the same data, as you can see ...

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\AppID\{448aee3b-dc65-4af6-bf5f-dce86d62b6c7}]
"DllSurrogate"=""
"RunAs"="Interactive User"

And now?

Win 10 Pro x64 - ((Swiss) German Edition).

Greetings
Why not? I see the same.
"DllSurrogate" you can leave as is - nevermind
"RunAs" need to be deleted

Code: Select all

"Runas"=-
BTW this code "-" means that key "Runas" must be deleted when it's in *.reg files
Default value is "Interactive User" (correct)

That is it
Ahh, NOW i understand - I thought, I should delete the hole key!

All right, thanks for clarification!

As soon is possible I will try it and report back here ...

Greetings

I was successful!

One (hopefully last) question:

It was necessary to take ownership from "TrustedInstaller" (to "Administrators") to delete this RunAs SubKey. Now I can't give it back to "TrustedInstaller" ("not found"). I can let it for "Administrators" (key seems useless now anyway), right?

However: thank you for the solution!

Greetings

EDIT: To give the ownership back to "TrustedInstaller" it is necessary to type the following:

NT SERVICE\TrustedInstaller

TrustedInstaller alone is not enough!

I can also confirm that this works and will pass along this information to Microsoft.
